The KONA IP25 combines the power, reliability, and ease of use of the KONA family, making it a seamless solution for transitioning from SDI to SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. This 8-lane PCIe Gen 4.0 IP I/O card supports bidirectional uncompressed video, ensuring high-performance IP video processing. It features two SFP cages supporting 10/25 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) SFPs and a 1 GigE RJ-45 port for control.
Designed for SMPTE ST 2110 processing, the KONA IP25 includes onboard PTP synchronization and NMOS control. It operates like any KONA card, handling control tasks independently to minimize host PC load. ST 2110 Configuration and Control can be managed via In-Band (SFP media network) or Out-of-Band (RJ-45 control network).
On the desktop, KONA IP25 works seamlessly with Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, AJA Control Room, and other leading creative tools, offering a familiar and efficient workflow. With AJA Control Panel enhancements, users can easily configure capture and playout, ensuring a smooth expansion into ST 2110 environments.
For developers, the KONA IP25 leverages the same AJA SDK as other KONA baseband I/O cards, providing an easy path to building custom SMPTE ST 2110 applications.
